about us
Revegetation specialists
Southern Bushland Repair was established as a sister company to Jamberoo Native Nursery in the mid-1990s, when it became obvious there were great benefits for developers in dealing with just one business which could carry out every project component, from plant supply right through to final planting out.
Propagation and growing-on of plant material
The nursery produces a wide range of Sydney plant species, including many which are commonly unavailable. All stock is grown-on under outdoor conditions and is supplied in fully hardened condition ready for planting-out on the toughest of sites.
Site preparation and civil works
We are able to coordinate and manage a range of sub-contractors for site preparation according to documentation, from bulk earthworks to detailed contouring. Our team of highly skilled and experienced revegetators are also able to control weed species on infested sites without compromising indigenous species, using the most environmentally sustainable methodology.
Planting, maintenance and monitoring
Our team carries out planting works on any site, including site preparation, weed removal and management, installation of tree-guards, watering-in and follow-up maintenance. If required we also undertake comprehensive monitoring and reporting programs.
Projects
Oran Park Town
Company: Greenfields Development Company / JMD Design
Timeframe: 2 Years
How many plants: 2 million
Project Scope
Southern Bushland Repair was engaged by JMD Design on behalf of Greenfields Development Company in 2010 to complete ongoing riparian and bushland revegetation works for the development of Oran Park Town. The purpose of these revegetation works is to achieve established and revegetated riparian and bushland corridors using provenance specific plants.
Co-ordination of civil works followed for all site preparation works including soil cultivation and amelioration, jute matting and mulching. Over 2 million provenance plants were grown for the project by Jamberoo Native Nursery, in sizes from Growtubes to 25L.
