Nathan’s passion for plants began early, which led him to enrolling in Certificate III Horticulture while still at high school. He quickly realised a career in horticulture was exactly what he wanted, and he secured an apprenticeship with Jamberoo Native Nursery in 2005 and began his working life shortly after finishing school.
His attitude, training and commitment to work has seen him play a major role in the business becoming multi-award winning and nationally recognised on many levels. Among numerous achievements, Nathan won the Illawarra Apprentice of the Year in 2009 and a scholarship from the International Plant Propagators Society, travelling to South Africa to study the nursery industry there.
Nathan’s other big passion in life is his family. He is loving bringing up his children Ruby and Harry along with his wife Kelly. He reckons raising kids is not that different to raising plants – ” just add food, water and love – then stand back and watch them grow!“
