Joel Henley-Martin

Growing up in the Illawarra, Joel was first introduced horticulture and conservation work at the age of 7 by his father who also worked in the industry.

Since then, Joel’s keen interest and knowledge has only grown.

Joel first started with Jamberoo Native Nursery as a trainee in 2018. Since joining the team, Joel obtained his Certificate III in horticulture in 2019, and has gone on to work in everything from nursery production to truck driving and assisting in team leadership.

Joining the SBR team in late 2019, and going full time with SBR in 2022, Joel has worked his way to the Project Manager position and is currently studying the Diploma of Conservation and Ecosystem Management.

In his spare time, Joel can be found exploring rugged bushland, or experimenting in the kitchen.
